Deven Ballback (born date unconfirmed) is an American man widely described, primarily by himself, as a "legend."[1][2] Over roughly a decade, a consistent cluster of anecdotes involving aviation, hostage negotiation, a large financial transaction, and a residential structure fire has circulated among his acquaintances, none of whom were present for more than one of the incidents.[3] [citation needed]
